HEINZ FAQ

We’re dedicated to ensuring each tomato in every bottle of HEINZ Ketchup comes from our own Heinz seeds – grown by farmers we know and trust. We track our tomatoes from seed to table because we believe that you should know exactly where your ketchup comes from.

Heinz Ketchup is made with nothing but simple ingredients, free from artificial preservatives,
colours, flavours, and gluten.

Our Heinz Ketchup is a unique recipe made just for Canadians. For more than a century, people have
been falling in love with Heinz Ketchup and it’s clear why. In Canada, Heinz is
Ketchup. Join us for a little trip down memory lane for a look at our history.

Our HEINZ Condiments product line, consisting of Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Mustard, Relish, and BBQ Sauces are available across a variety of retail store locations in Canada. Visit your local retail stores to purchase our delicious variety of condiments.

Our HEINZ Ketchup merchandise that was advertised in past marketing campaigns, such as the HEINZ Ketchup Puzzle featured in 2020, are unfortunately no longer available as those were limited time offers. While that is the case, we encourage you to keep an eye out for future campaigns and the potential revival of previous limited time offer merchandise on TV and our social media channels. Additionally, you can visit our HEINZ Ketchup merchandise page to see our lineup of HEINZ Ketchup merchandise that is readily available.

We are proud to make the food that Canadians love. Our world-class manufacturing facility in Mont Royal, Quebec produces
some of Canada’s most iconic brands.

As of the Summer of 2021, we are proud to announce that the production of HEINZ Ketchup is coming back to Canada!

In addition, we work closely with Leamington’s Highbury Canco and, in fact, we are the plant’s biggest customer. In 2020 alone, Kraft Heinz Canada used more than 176 million pounds of Leamington tomatoes, across a variety of products. Highbury Canco employs more than 650 people who work on Kraft Heinz brands every day. We also continue to operate our Heinz Tomato Seed business out of Leamington, which supplies most of the processing Heinz tomato seeds used on farms in Eastern North America.

From our quality controls to the relationships we have with our growers and suppliers, we are committed to responsible, sustainable practices extending to every facet of our business. You can read more about our company’s commitment to sustainability here.

We are also committed to the communities where we live and work. In Canada, our Kraft Heinz Project Play and Kraft Hockeyville initiatives have invested more than $7 million to improve play infrastructure and sports facilities in 183 communities across Canada. We also work hand-in-hand with food bans to increase food distribution and access to fresh foods in the Canadian emergency food bank system. In 2020 alone, Kraft Heinz Canada provided more than 2 million pounds of food to food banks across the country.

In 2020, we launched Kraft Heinz Project Pantry, which is our five-year, $20 million commitment to food donations in partnership with Food Bank Canada. Year Two of Pantry Day is on Oct. 16, 2021, which is World Food Day, where Canadians can purchase select Kraft Heinz products that will be matched with a product donation by Kraft Heinz Canada.
